4 weeks

Eleanor is my entire life right now so there won't be any posts about books, news, work or anything intellectual for a while. Four weeks have gone by so fast. My mom leaves next week. We've been a great team and have a good system going so I'm very sad to see her go. I'm sure Ben & I will be able to figure it out without her but it won't be as easy and I'll certainly be more sleep deprived, eating more take-out and have a messy house! At least Mom & Dad will be back in January for 2 months.

Ben & I have been out on a few dates & had a few beers. I even got to use my breast milk test strips to test the milk to alcohol content :) Mom & I have been out for lunch and shopping a few times while Ben watched Eleanor. I love how confident he is with her.

The baby was 6 lb 7 oz when she was born and we had her weighed yesterday at 4 weeks and she is 7 lb 11 oz already! She loves to eat like me. To celebrate her 4 week birthday we took her on her first shopping trip - to Target of course. I told her all about how shopping is in her blood!

I've been dragging my feet on researching daycare. I wish an affordable nanny would just knock on my front door. I packed up my maternity clothes - what a great feeling to be rid if those outfits.
