Back to work

Wow, this is quite the transition to my "new normal" life. When does it get a little easier? Seriously, you all made it look so easy!

Week 1: Lots of adjustment (me), lots of crying (me & baby), new projects at work (me), fun time with cousins (baby)
Mantra: "I am providing a better life for my family"

Week 2: Doctor confirms Eleanor is allergic to regular and soy formula. The hypoallergenic stuff is expensive but worth every penny.
Mantra: "I am not poisoning my baby"

Week 3: Well, we made it 2.5 weeks with 1 daycare arrangement before she quit. We all knew this was risky but I really thought it was going well. Time to find another daycare.
Mantra: Remember wise friend Cindy's words "Daycare is sometimes a series of arrangements for 1 month at a time"

What will next week's drama be? Stay tuned...

Hang in there Alexis! I'm sorry to hear about all the little bumps in the road to being a new mommy! It will get easier, I promise! In the mean time, have a glass of wine or two :)

Lots of bumps but you are moving forward and doing the best you can. You can do it!!
Also, we were able to get the hypoallergenic formula covered by insurance for Isaac (they didn't cover it for Sophie), so that might be worth pursuing.
Best of luck and lots of hugs!!
