What do you think?

So today at work, I was in the ladies room, and there was a woman in a stall, just chatting away on her cell-phone. It wasn't a work related conversation (thankfully). But still, I just thought that was SOOO weird. It’s true I've been know to chat while in the bathroom at home - but only to a very small list of close family members - sisters and mom. Such a privilege huh? So, I just want to know if any of you have had a similar experience in public. What do you think about cell-phone etiquette and public bathrooms?

There is a lady at work that does that all the time and I think it is so rude and gross. First of all, no one needs to talk on the phone while using the restroom. There is handwashing issues, germ issues, what if you drop it in the toilet, etc. Not to mention the fact that you are taking away my right to decide how many people here me in the stall next to you and know how much water I have been drinking all morning. So I am for saying NO CELL PHONE USE IN THE PUBLIC RESTROOM!

I agree and find this type of cellphone use to be so awkward. I've been chatting on my cell phone from time to time while on the way to a public restroom and just can't bring myself to enter until hanging up. I feel bad for the others using the restroom but moreso for the party on the other end of the line that may unknowingly and unwillingly be subjected to the background restroom activities.

Yep, bathroom cell phone use is a little creepy. Although, I have to admit that I did do it one time. I was talking to Jeff...and there was no one else in the bathroom with me. The only excuse I have is that I was very busy at the time and it was the only chance I had to talk with him about something that needed to be decided right away. :) I don't think Jeff even noticed!
