Goodbye Rory & Veronica!

Middle of May was our Microchip Sales Conference. It was strange to be staying at a hotel but not really out of town. We were in Scottsdale AZ but our long hours and traffic on the 101 made it require I stay at the resort. I had fun teaching 90 minute classes on our Connectivity Microcontrollers 12 times in 3 days to our sales people from around the world. And at night we had an "expo" highlighting demos and products including the dance dance revolution video game and kareoke machines. Funny to see sales engineers try to sing & dance. Keep your day job!

Last weekend I finished teaching a series of Planned Parenthood classes for parents of teens at a Methodist Church in Tempe. I love that a church is open-minded enough to include the topics of teen sexual health in their curriculum for parents. It helps solidify my morals and beliefs.

Kelly is home!! Great to have a fun friend back in town and help her nest into her cute appartment which I love because it is so much closer to my house (Yes, I'm such a selfish friend)! I've also been a social beast and it's so nice to connect with people. I have a great visit and lunch with Amy and got to hear all about Peter's latest adventures. And a surprise happy hour with Cindy & Kelly. It's so refreshing to have the luxury of so much girl time!!

TV Shows - such a sad time of year that we have to say good-bye to some of my TV family (a term I borrow from Julia!). Goodbye to the Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars forever. A great America Idol and Survivor Finale. And great cliffhangers for Lost, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, and so many others. My tivo is tired from such hard work all season!!
My sisters are coming for Memorial Day weekend so should be more fun ahead.

Oh how we will miss our old TV Family. We will have to be diligint over the summer to prepare to find new TV Family to fill our TIVO! :) So long quick talking Rory & Loreli and spunky Veronica!

Surprise happy hours are my favorite too. I’m finding that unplanned and unexpected fun is out there for me to enjoy more and more in my life, leaving me with a newfound appreciation for spontaneity I originally thought a working mom had to do without. Thanks for the last minute good time!
