Well, I'm packed

The last week has been lots of fun with my Mom & Dad here. They got to Phoenix on Good Friday and we had a whirlwind weekend with family events - our godson Gavin's 1st birthday party, visiting with my Aunt Ginny, Uncle Steve, cousins Erica and Kristen who has twins and is about 3 weeks away from delivering another little boy. Then we spent Easter with Ben's family. Just about plenty of extended family, kids, and pets for me for a while!

My parents have been enjoying the weather - mostly sitting on the patio and reading, doing soduku puzzles and sunning. We ate out most nights and watched lots of movies and tv. We saw Wild Hogs which was cute. We watched Blood Diamond which I really enjoyed and Lake House which was disappointing. If you haven't seen "Not yet rated" the documentary about movie rating systems I highly recommend it. Very eye opening. Aside from that, it was a mellow week. Dad was fighting off a cold and his back has been bothering him so we didn't do a lot of shopping or site-seeing this time.

They head back to Ohio tomorrow and I head to the United Kingdom. I fly from Phoenix to London and London to Manchester tomorrow. It's hard to pack for 2 weeks away with business clothes and casual for the weekend! I think I packed more books than anything else. I got the new James Patterson and Sidney Poitier books to read and also downloaded the TV series Weeds season one to my iPod. I have my book of soduku puzzles too! I'll be all over the England next week at various customer meetings and sales trainings. I'll spend next weekend in London (see photo of my hotel near Hyde Park & Regency Park), then I'll fly to the Netherlands for the following week. Should be an adventure but it's a long time to be away from home. It will be nice to come home to a full TiVo and a husband and cat that miss me!

What a great choice -- Weeds! One of my favorite shows. Have a great trip and safe travels! Also on on a selfish note please take notes for cool things you think your friends looking to take a trip there one day should see!
